Offcanvas Section

You can publish whatever you want in the Offcanvas Section. It can be any module or particle.

By default, the available module positions are offcanvas-a and offcanvas-b but you can add as many module positions as you want from the Layout Manager.

You can also add the hidden-phone module class suffix to your modules so they do not appear in the Offcanvas Section when the site is loaded on a mobile device.

Lodge Details

Style

An intimate, luxury tented camp in a secluded location.

Setting

Approached by a boat across the Mara River, then an escorted walk through the riverine forest, Little Governors Camp occupies a privileged setting within the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Vehicles are left on the far bank of the Mara River, leaving the camp quiet and undisturbed.

Accommodation & Facilities

The 17 luxury tents border a watering hole that is teeming with wildlife. Each en-suite tent has a large wooden deck and veranda for constant game viewing.

The open bar and dining tent enjoy views over the waterhole, the open plains of the Masai Mara and the Oloololo Escarpment. Other facilities include a fire-pit area, laundry service and curio shop.

Little Governors Camp is unfenced and warthog and elephant can often be seen wandering through.

Dining

Breakfast and lunch are served in the open air, and the resident family of warthogs frequently wander amongst tables. In the evening a warming log fire burns in front of the bar tent and dinner is served in the nearby dining tent.

Activities

Game drives operate in 4x4 vehicles, with guided walks, bush meals and balloon safaris also on offer. Local village visits, excursions to Lake Victoria excursions and spa treatments are also available, some of which may incur extra cost.

Child Policy

Children of all ages are welcome.

Responsible Tourism

The nearby Mararianta School has been completely rebuilt and developed with funds generated by Governors’ Camp and the BBC. This establishment provides education for students who walk up to 10km through the bush to school each day.
