You can publish whatever you want in the Offcanvas Section. It can be any module or particle.

By default, the available module positions are offcanvas-a and offcanvas-b but you can add as many module positions as you want from the Layout Manager.

You can also add the hidden-phone module class suffix to your modules so they do not appear in the Offcanvas Section when the site is loaded on a mobile device.

Lodge Details

Style

A luxurious and magnificent high-end safari lodge.

Setting

In 275,000 acres of Masaai owned land, the Mbirikani Group Ranch, on the slopes of the Chyulu Hills which separate Amboseli and Tsavo West National Parks.

Accommodation & Facilities

No two lodges here are the same. Some have two beds; others have 4 and are ideal for families and groups of friends. Some have private lounges and plunge pools, however all are luxurious and spacious with superb views. Each lodging is en-suite, with indoor and outdoor showers, a bath, twin vanities and flushing toilets. They all have ‘star beds’ on the roof, perfect for private sun-downers overlooking the dramatic Mount Kilimanjaro, the more adventurous may even want to sleep under the stars.

The central area, consisting of a dining room and sitting room, has a real magnificence about it, with a large open fire place and iron ore chandeliers, completely open to the plains below. Despite this it manages to keep a homey atmosphere, ensuring all guests are comfortable and happy. A sense of grandeur comes from the forever curving lines, arched doorways and indoor gardens and all of the buildings are constructed from local stone, thatch and wood. Extending from the dining area is a veranda, great for brunching under an acacia tree and in front of this is the infinity pool which overlooks a water hole popular with a variety of thirsty wildlife.

Dining

Food is wonderful and is enjoyed in different locations throughout the day. Breakfast may be out on the plains, lunch alfresco on the veranda and dinner in the main dining room or out under the stars. There might be a quintessentially English tea served out in the African bush or you can even hire a private chef for in-villa catering.

Activities

The entire surrounding area is reserved for guests at Ol Donyo, meaning no other tourists or safari vehicles around to spoil the photogenic vistas. Safaris are done daily in 4x4 vehicles as well as tracking and walking safaris. There is also the more adventurous option of mountain biking and horseback riding or even joining the bloodhounds for some tracking hide and seek – popular with children. Ol Donyo has a ‘log-jam’ also known as a hide, where you can observe wildlife, such as elephants, at the water holes safely behind a secure network of large logs. There is also the option to visit the local Masaai village to meet some very friendly people. And get involved in the community projects.

Child Policy

Children welcome.

Responsible Travel

The Masaai people benefit from each guest staying at the lodge. Energy is solar powered, with a back up generator for over cast days.
